GBIII Qualifies Strong at Martinsville, Ignition Wire Ends Shot at Good Finish
Brunnhoelzl is Credited With 27th After Losing Laps in the Pit Area

Sunday's NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race at Martinsville Speedway (VA) was full of potential for George Brunnhoelzl and the #46 Modified team.  Last year's NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour champion now had three races under his belt with his new team and a solid seventh place start could have been the beginning of a great day for the group.  However, a parts failure kept the possibility of a good finish at bay and Brunnhoelzl eventually finished 27th after repairs were made and laps were lost in the pit area.
“We had a good car and we were just taking our time there early in the race,” said Brunnhoelzl.  “At lap 50, we had what turned out to be a ignition wire break and it took us out of the race for a while.  It took us a while to find it, but once the guys did we got it fixed and the guys worked together so we could go back on the track.  Now we'll move on the New Hampshire.”

Brunnhoelzl is really looking ahead to that next race on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour schedule - which is scheduled for Saturday June,26th.

“I really like New Hampshire,” said Brunnhoelzl.  “We have run there before and I am really looking forward to go back there.  As of right now , we are going to take my car that we did so well with in the south.  No matter what car we take it's going to be ready to race.”
